At the start of this month, Jelmer joined the Be-Efficient team as a business consultant. He will be working with our clients on strategy, supply chain and organisational improvement. Below, Jelmer introduces himself and talk about what his role at Be-Efficient will entail.
Hello! My name is Jelmer Kamsma, and I am a Business Consultant specialising in strategy, supply chain and organisational improvement. With a background in supply chain management, logistics, procurement and organisational development, I can bring structure to complex issues and translate ambitions into concrete improvements. I help organisations grow by linking strategy and operations together.
Throughout my career, I have held various roles within international and dynamic environments, where I have been responsible for optimising supply chains, streamlining processes and developing teams. As Supply Chain Manager, I was part of the executive team and worked at the intersection of strategy, operations and people.
My strength lies in analysing processes, identifying opportunities and delivering sustainable improvements. I thrive on challenges where change is needed; situations where processes have stalled, growth is being held back, or organisations want to operate more efficiently and with a greater focus on the customer. I move easily between senior management, middle management and operations, and am able to distill complex issues down to clear choices and concrete actions.
I believe that successful organisations are not just about systems and processes, but above all about people. That is why I combine analytical skills with a people-centred approach. I coach teams, foster a sense of ownership and help staff realise their potential. This not only leads to better results, but also creates a resilient organisation that can remain forward-looking.
With a Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management and extensive experience in logistics, retail, procurement and operations, I combine in-depth knowledge with practical drive.
